Amber Inclusions for Sale

Amber from the Caribbean is a hardened  tree resin (not sap) from the ancient algarroba tree (hymenaea protera), consisting of compounds of terpenes, alcohols, and esters. Trees produced it as protection against disease and insect infestation. The chemical composition of the resin acted as desiccant and antibiotic which caused that animals like insects and small non-insects, when caught in the resin, they were entrapped as inclusions and preserved as dehydrated fossil amber inclusions, but without the shrinking effect dehydrations usually causes. They were kept as fossil inclusions in such a way that their cellular structure and even fragments of the DNA can still be found today.

What kinds of inclusions can be found here in these regions? Beetles, bees, mosquitoes, grasshoppers, planthoppers, leafhoppers, cicadas, aphids, ants, flees, fireflies, ticks, butterflies, moths, crickets, cockroaches, centipedes, millipedes, bark lice, thrips, true Bugs, lacewings, dusty-wings, beetles, scorpions / pseudo-scorpions, spiders, web spinners, mantises, flies, fireflies, wasps and more…
